Adam Laurence Herskowitz, tenor

Adam Laurence Herskowitz is known internationally for his work as a dramatic tenor. Some of his favorite roles include Calaf, Otello, Siegmund, and Bacchus. He sang multiple seasons at the Metropolitan Opera with highlights including the Capitano in Simon, Messenger in Aida, Don Riccardo in Ernani, First Armed Man in Magic Flute, Harry in La Fanciulla del West, and on the Met’s Japan tour as the Herald in Don Carlo.   His performances have been broadcasted in HD movie theaters, PBS, WQXR Radio, Satellite Radio, and sold on DVD and ITunes. He has also performed with Minnesota Opera, Toledo Opera, Winter Opera of St. Louis, Southold Opera, Union Avenue Opera, Chautauqua Opera, and New Jersey Opera Theater. He has also been seen as a soloist with Plainfield Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic, Livingston Symphony, and New Jersey City University Orchestra. He has won awards from The Wagner Society of N.Y., Liederkranz Competition, Gerda Lissner Foundation, and The Metropolitan Opera National Council. Mr. Herskowitz earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
